CLC seeks clinical social worker or psychotherapist who can support our clients’ therapeutic needs. This person will report to the Director, Clinical Practice.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director, Clinical Practice, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing comprehensive, trauma-informed psychotherapy and case management to children ages 3-17, including crisis intervention, short-term, and long-term treatment. Treatment modalities include the evidence-based psychological trauma interventions, EMDR and TF-CBT;
- Conducting clinical assessments and appropriate referrals to community-based organizations for treatment;
- Providing emotional and preparatory support for children and adolescents who may be testifying in family and/or criminal court, or before the grand jury;
- Maintaining appropriate client information in electronic databases and paper files;
- Attend relevant task force meetings and conferences, and maintain collaborative relationships with local crime victim, mental health, and criminal justice agencies;
- Supporting grant applications with program statistics and referral/client demographics; and
- Providing ongoing consultation and collaboration with CLC attorneys and social workers while maintaining client confidentiality.
Key Qualifications and Competencies
- Experience working with children and/or teens;
- Experience working with Family and Criminal justice systems;
- Superb interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, time management, and organizational skills;
- Demonstrated ability to exercise complete discretion when working with confidential and sensitive information;
- Spanish language ability a plus;
- TF-CBT- trained a plus;
- Desire to work in a busy organization that represents children.

Position Type
Part-Time (60% FTE/3 days/week). Applicants will be able to accrue clinical hours towards licensure.
Salary Requirements
The expected salary range for this position is governed by the CLC Collective Bargaining Agreement. The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 – $103,564.98 annually, calculated at 60% FTE depending on years of experience.

Hybrid Schedule
This position currently requires the individual’s physical presence (hybrid, minimum two days per week) at CLC’s offices in New York City.
