CLC collects via our website only aggregate information, such as the number and frequency of visitors, and not personally identifying information about visitors to our website, unless you choose to provide personally identifying information to us by email to our staff members via the CLC public access website. At CLC, our policy is to protect personal and confidential information transmitted to us by our users in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Any information you provide to us on the CLC website will be kept confidential, and will be used only for the purpose for which it was given to us unless we are required by law to disclose it (for example, in response to a subpoena or court order) or we disclose it to others because your communication suggests possible harm to you or others, we are obliged to use the information in your communication to represent a CLC client, we want to enforce CLC website's terms and conditions of use, we have received a request from a law enforcement agency, or we want to respond to an emergency.
If you opt to make an online donation to CLC via NYCharities.org, and further opt to provide personally identifying information at that time, your information will be supplied to CLC by NYCharities.org. That information is not provided to CLC if the donor chooses to make an anonymous donation. CLC does not share its donor information, except with the CLC staff, Board members, and agents and representatives, unless required by law (for example, in response to a subpoena or court order).
