In Camera

In Camera is a private conversation between a judge and the child or children involved in a case. An In Camera conversation is the child’s opportunity to tell the judge how they feel.

In Camera is a Latin phrase which means “in chambers.” The only other people who are allowed to be in the room are the attorney for the child (AFC) and the court reporter, who writes down what is said.
