The Fiscal and Grants Management Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations of the Fiscal department, acting as the 1st point of contact for accounts payable (AP) and ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing. The Coordinator will act as a liaison with auditors, vendors and funding sources, monitoring expenditures and maintaining accurate records. Key responsibilities include processing payments, reconciling accounts, and preparing fiscal reports. This role will help maintain our Fiscal systems to ensure operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with staff and is equally content with the day-to-day administrative work.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day management of the accounts payable process to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Act as the first tier of support for staff and vendor inquiries; referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Stays abreast of and communicates established CLC fiscal policies and guidelines to staff.
  • Support the semi-monthly payroll, working with Human Resources, as necessary to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Working collaboratively with the Development Coordinator, support the pre-award, award, and post-award phases.
  • Draft financial reports, invoices, and budget modifications to funding agencies.
  • Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and funding source rules.
  • Support the annual audit process.
  • Other relevant duties as necessary.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Experience with Bill.com, Paychex Flex and Salesforce strongly preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience, with a minimum of 1 year direct fiscal or grants management experience.
  • Experience with city, state and federal grant funders.
  • Experience with federal and state GMS and NYC Passport.
  • Background working in nonprofit organizations and/or experience with civic engagement a plus.

Salary

The expected salary range for this position ranges from $60,000 – $75,000 annually.

Hybrid Schedule

This is a hybrid, full-time position that requires employees to be available for work and collaboration between standard workday hours. This position will work onsite three of five workdays and two virtual days. Employees will be issued a work laptop.
