Law Student Internship, Appellate/Writing (Summer 2026)

Description
Working closely with attorneys who are members of CLC’s writing/appellate team, a law student intern will have the opportunity to hone legal research and writing skills, and learn about family law and the role of the attorney for the child. The law student would engage in activities, which may include legal research, digesting case records (school, medical, forensic reports), drafting legal documents, including memoranda of law, motions, and/or sections of written trial summations and appellate briefs, and conducting legal and factual cite checking of documents. There also may be opportunities to observe court proceedings, client interviews, and attorney conferences.
Requirements
Candidates must have strong writing and research skills.

Hybrid Schedule
This summer program will follow a full-time (9am – 5pm) hybrid model, from June 8th – August 7th.
